Jorge Enrique “Kike” Toledo
We are excited to announce that we brought 2021 Grammy sound engineer Jorge Enrique “Kike” Toledo on board for Tambora. Kike’s work includes recordings of several albums in Cali Colombia including Grupo Niche’s “40” (winner of Best Tropical Latin Album 2021 Grammy). His broad experience with latin percussion instruments recordings impregnated the realization of Tambora, letting its authentic sound shine through the final product. We recorded the Tambora in Dial Music Studios in the city of Cali, getting the true classic warm tones, presence, and punch sound of the highly regarded Trident Series 80B Console and the recording hall where Grupo Niche, Guayacán and other latin artists have recorded.
